The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Manager with experience specifically handling HR within the financial services industry (banks, insurance companies, SACCOs) to join our HR department at our Nairobi office. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Managing Partner and the Partner in charge of Human Resource Management.
Responsibilities
- Partnering with business leaders to understand their goals and develop HR strategies that support those objectives.
- Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, fostering positive work relationships, and promoting a healthy work environment.
- Supporting talent acquisition, development, and retention efforts, including identifying training needs and implementing development programmes.
- Assisting with organisational changes, implementing change management strategies, and facilitating communication to ensure smooth transitions.
- Ensuring HR policies and procedures are aligned with business goals and legal requirements, and staying up to date on employment laws and regulations.
- Providing guidance and support on performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Analysing HR data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and presenting findings to senior leadership.
- Supporting the transition of new HR projects and initiatives.
- Participating in HR projects, working groups, task forces, etc. at the corporate level.
- Offering team leadership in workforce planning, staffing trends and needs as identified.
- Leading in HR initiatives or programmes for current issues and solutions.
- Providing guidance and supervision for staff or team members.
- Any other relevant duties that may be required from time to time.
Educational Background
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or social sciences (Human Resources Management major) from a recognised university
- A master’s degree in human resources management will be an added advantage
- Registered and active member of the Institute of Human Resources Management or any relevant professional membership.
