The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate HR Administrator who will report to the PIC and ensure effective HR operations, delivering superior employee and departmental support. The ideal candidate shall be people-centric, proactive, passionate about a career in HR, and demonstrate attention to detail. 

Qualifications

  • Business-related Undergraduate Degree (minimum Upper Second)
  • Higher National Diploma in Human Resource, or CHRP  (K)
  • IHRM Membership

Background and Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in human resource management.
  • Worked in a multicultural environment

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out end-to-end recruitment process
  • In charge of staff onboarding and induction processes, including pre and post-induction support
  • Handling employee grievances and disciplinary management
  • Performance management including coordinating  performance appraisals and conducting 360-degree feedback surveys
  • Monitor staff development by keeping track of CPD records and attainment of professional certifications
  • Ensuring compliance with employment regulations and HR policies
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports 
  • Maintaining and updating staff records and personnel files, ensuring the necessary contract prompts and notices are actioned on time
  • Monitor employee absence and ensure effective leave management processes
  • Sensitize staff on various staff policies, and flag non-compliance 
  • Ensuring adherence to OSH standards and requirements within the office 
  • Management of staff benefits
  • Carrying out any other administrative duties as assigned

Outcomes

  • Managing the staff portfolio from an HR perspective including ensuring that staff are productively engaged on a daily basis and reporting any exception to the PIC
  • Demonstrating a positive, confident, and decisive attitude in communicating with staff and partners
  • Ensuring that the job-by-job, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual evaluations are done for the required staff and any areas of improvement are communicated to the staff
  • Ensuring that staff records are maintained in a master sheet comprising of staff details, leave records, and counselling information
  • Ensuring the training plan developed for each office is implemented and that a specific training/counselling plan is developed for each staff member based on their evaluation
  • Ensuring that all staff have met their continuous professional development (CPD) requirements
  • Ensuring productivity negative variances are cleared by the PIC and that the leave balances are as per the policy at the end of the year
  • Demonstrate commitment to self-improvement through the  implementation of a personal development plan
  • Identifying and communicating HR issues in a timely and organized manner, and escalating this to the ISO/PIC
