RSM Cyprus is pleased to announce that Iacovos Themistocleous has been appointed as Director. In his new role, he will be responsible to oversee the compliance section of RSM Cyprus, while he is also the Money Laundering Compliance Officer. Apart from Iacovos’ role as the Money Laundering Compliance Officer of RSM Cyprus, he is also the Tax Manager of the Firm. Within this role, he is responsible for a number of tax related matters within the Firm contributing to the continued development of the Firm’s tax related services.

Before his appointment in this role, Iacovos held the position of Senior Auditor in the Firm for a number of years, allowing him to enjoy experience and knowledge from a number of industries. His level of knowledge on International Financial Reporting Standards and International Standards on Auditing, can assist the Firm in a number of ways. With almost 7 years of experience, Iacovos has been involved in a number of varying services offered to clients, from audit to tax planning and compliance. He served clients in a number of industries, such as trading, investment holdings, shipping, manufacturing and services.

Iacovos received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance in De Montfort University, Leicester, United Kingdom. He subsequently studied for his ACCA qualification, for which he became a member in 2017. He then continued with his studies, receiving the Transfer Pricing Certificate from The Chartered Institute of Taxation in December 2017. He afterwards received his ICA International Diploma in Anti Money Laundering in 2020.
