The role

We are looking for a highly motivated Entry-Level Accounting Assistant to join our team in Athens and support the day-to-day operations of our firm’s internal accounting within the Accounting & Finance Department.  

Opportunity description

As a member of RSM’s Accounting & Finance Team, you will be actively involved in a wide range of internal accounting, finance, and operational activities. Your role will contribute to the smooth and effective functioning of the department and provide exposure to key financial processes. 

More specifically, you will: 

  • Actively support day-to-day accounting and finance operations within the internal Accounting & Finance Department.
  • Participate in the bookkeeping cycle, including posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Assist with processing invoices, managing client and supplier agreements, monitoring daily transactions, and recording expenses.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and analysis for the company’s management team.
  • Collaborate with various department heads to collect, review, and interpret financial data.
  • Support the preparation of corporate tax filings (e.g., VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax) and ensure compliance with relevant tax obligations. 

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of prior experience in Accounting & Tax Advisory or Bookkeeping will be considered an asset
  • Degree in Accounting/ Economics/ Business Administration or similar field
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Experience with Accounting & ERP systems  
  • Strong analytical, presentation and report writing skills
  • Committed to excellence; efficient and effective when it comes to deadlines
