Season’s greetings from RSM

As we draw close to the end of the year, we at RSM would like to wish everyone ‘Happy Holidays’ and reflect on an important year for the network.

2015 has certainly been busy but also full of success. We have added eight member firms since January, sponsored the European Business Awards for the ninth year and completed a global rebrand.

We are delighted to have expanded our network, with new members in Italy, New Zealand, the Philippines, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tajikistan, Belarus, Columbia and France. RSM now comprises over 740 offices in more than 120 countries, making us the seventh largest audit, tax and consulting network in the world.

In many ways, the most significant achievement of the year was uniting all RSM member firms under one name through our global rebrand. 26 October saw the rebrand take effect with great results, so for the first time, RSM will celebrate the holiday season as a truly united global network. As you can see, we have a new website, logo, brand positioning (The Power of Being Understood) and all of our members can be found under the same name, ‘RSM’, around the world. The launch coincided with ‘RSM World Day’ where all RSM firms across the globe celebrated their membership of the RSM network with their clients, communities and staff.

Rather than a shift to something new, the global brand launch seemed more like a ratification of what we already were – a tight-knit group of fantastic internationally-focused firms working under the same values and high standards. All of our members are committed and enthusiastic about the new brand and we are all proud of the results – one might say that Santa came early for RSM. The day proved the strength of communication across our members and the feeling of togetherness throughout the organisation.

RSM are proud to be the lead sponsor of the European Business Awards, and this year saw the launch of its ninth programme. There were over 32,000 entrants before the most recent announcement which named 678 companies from 33 countries across Europe as 'National Champions' in the first stage of the 2015/16 competition. The awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the successes of a huge range of companies and I always enjoy meeting the participants.

As our staff continue to work hard before the Christmas break, we have also began looking forward to next year. In 2016, we expect to grow in strength, size and quality for our clients – continuously improving the excellent systems of operation which we have, while staying true to our core values of ‘collaboration, ‘understanding’, and ‘ideas and insight’.

I wish everyone a happy festive season and a prosperous New Year.
