Summary of role
As an Audit Director, I lead the delivery of audit engagements across a diverse portfolio of clients, working closely with businesses ranging from owner-managed companies to multinational groups. My role involves providing technical expertise, maintaining audit quality, supporting and developing our people, and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. I collaborate with specialists across tax and advisory teams to help clients navigate complex accounting, regulatory and business challenges while ensuring efficient and high-quality audit outcomes.
The highlight of my career at RSM has been the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of both our clients and our people. I have had the privilege of working on complex and challenging engagements, leading multidisciplinary teams, and supporting colleagues as they progress in their careers. Seeing team members develop their skills and confidence, while delivering meaningful outcomes for clients, is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role.
One of the biggest challenges is balancing the evolving demands of the audit profession with the need to continue delivering exceptional client service. Regulatory requirements, technology and stakeholder expectations continue to develop at pace, requiring us to adapt and innovate constantly. While challenging, this environment has allowed me to broaden my technical expertise, strengthen my leadership skills, and help teams navigate change confidently.
What has surprised me most is the breadth of opportunities available and the level of collaboration across the firm. At RSM, colleagues are encouraged to take ownership of their development, contribute to strategic initiatives and work closely with specialists from different service lines. The supportive culture and willingness of people to share knowledge have been key factors in my professional growth.
I am excited to continue supporting the growth of our audit practice, mentoring future leaders and helping clients navigate an increasingly complex business environment. I also look forward to contributing to initiatives focused on audit quality, innovation and talent development, while continuing to build strong and trusted client relationships.
