RSM Tax Seminar 2020 Budget

The Honourable Finance Minister, Mr Lim Guan Eng tabled the 2020 Budget on 11 October 2019. The theme for the 2020 Budget is “Driving Growth and Equitable Outcomes Towards Shared Prosperity”.

This year’s RSM Tax Seminar which was jointly conducted by RSM Tax Consultants (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and The Institute of Taxation Sdn Bhd was held at Hotel InterContinental Kuala Lumpur on 31 October 2019.

Our Tax team, Mr A.B. Ng - Executive Tax Director and Mr Loke Yew Ken – Tax Director, focused on the highlights of the 2020 budget proposal and the latest updates of Transfer Pricing requirements. We were given the honour to have Puan Annie Thomas, Senior Assistant Director II of Customs to share the latest updates in the SST Issues while Dr Zainal Abidin Md Yassin, Director of Technical Audit Assistance Division spoke on the latest Field audit and other compliance issues. Mr S.Saravana Kumar, Partner of Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill also shared on the recent tax cases.
