BIOGRAPHY

Mayadevi Karpayah is a Tax Director with RSM Tax Consultants (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. She is heading the Individual Tax and Indirect Tax Units and has been in tax practice for over 20 years.

Maya has extensive experience in corporate, individual tax and indirect tax.

She specialises in tax planning for expatriate employees, advise on efficient remuneration packages, employees share option schemes and employment related issues.

In the field of indirect tax, she advises clients on Customs related issues i.e., Sales Tax and Service Tax, applications for exemptions and Customs facilities.

She is also a Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) certified trainer and conducts training for both staff and clients on both personal tax and indirect tax issues.

Her clientele includes multinational companies and small medium enterprises from various industries.
