The European Business Awards, Europe’s toughest business competition, is now open for entries from businesses across the EU.

In 2011, the EBAs engaged with over 15,000 organisations in over 30 countries showcasing the best in class from a diverse range of industries including cosmetics, engineering, fashion, online businesses, manufacturing and transport.

All winners were congratulated by an audience comprising heads of state, leading industrialists, entrepreneurs, business leaders, media owners and leading academics from across 30 European nations. Participants represented a combined turnover of over €1 trillion Euros (8.23% of EU GDP) employing over 2.7 million people.

Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards says, “Since 2007, the European Business Awards have been shining a light on the most innovative businesses on the continent by promoting success, innovation and ethics in the European business community. Last year proved our most successful awards ever and we are looking forward to raising the bar again this year. This is an opportunity for Europe’s brightest businesses to gain the recognition they deserve on a global stage."

RSM International has been a sponsor of the awards since they began. Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM International said "RSM International is delighted to continue supporting Europe's entrepreneurial community for the sixth consecutive year through sponsorship of the RSM International Entrepreneur of the Year Award. As entrepreneurship is an important part of our network’s ethos, which echoes the profile of our clients, we want to make sure that we are actively encouraging innovation and hard work by celebrating success."

In 2012 the process for selection has been improved to offer an even more accurate picture of the very best in European business. After entering, participants will be reviewed against selection criteria determined by the judging panel and appropriate businesses will be selected as National Finalists. National Finalists will be invited to submit a video presentation for viewing and assessment by judges resulting in successful organisations being awarded National Champion status.

Entry forms and video presentations of all National Champions will be reassessed by the prestigious and demanding European Business Awards judging panel that will award the top 110 organisations Ruban d’Honneur status.

After rigorous face to face assessed in front of a judging panel, Ruban d’Honneur recipients will be honoured and the names of the Award winners revealed as Europe’s top businesses at a glittering Awards ceremony in April, 2013.
