Building NextGen RSM – the new generation of people, technology, structures, leadership and culture.
RSM, the leading global network of audit, tax and consulting firms focused on the middle market, is delighted to announce Rome, Italy as the location for its 2019 World Conference. Held from the 11-15 November 2019, the event will see more than 300 delegates, from over 100 countries, come together to share ideas and insights on creating a culture of innovation, building internal agility, and shaping streamlined and foresighted client services to middle market business leaders globally.
The conference will be chaired by Rhonda Klosler, Chief Operating Officer of RSM Canada and includes an impressive line-up of high-profile guest speakers: Russian chess grandmaster and former world chess champion, Garry Kasparov; legal author and independent adviser to major professional firms and to national governments Richard Susskind OBE; architect, historian and BBC presenter, Francesco da Mosto; and C-Suite speakers from a range of businesses including global research and advisory firm Gartner, and International PR Communications firm, Brunswick Group.
Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM International said:
“Rome is a hugely inspirational setting for this year’s world conference, due to its long history as home to so many game-changing pioneers.
“As technology transforms our profession, our clients and our markets, the principles of conservatism and incremental development, once the foundations of our profession’s approach to strategy and business, are being replaced by transformational change and digital renovation in order to drive growth and retain relevance.
“While many of our trusted ways of working are being challenged by technological advances, at RSM we embrace change and look to the future with excitement. We will liberate the potential within our next generation of leaders, empower our people with new technologies and encourage experimentation to continue to build RSM at a faster pace and at scale.”
Rocco Abbondanza, Managing Partner of RSM Italy, said:
“We are honoured to host this year’s RSM World Conference and warmly welcome the many delegates from RSM member firms, around the world.
“As the theme of the conference is “Building NextGen RSM”, Rome was identified as the natural host location, as it is widely recognised as a leader for change throughout history. Once known as the Capital of the World or ‘Caput Mundi’, as the Romans used to say, the city has long been heralded for innovations that, not only, made it unique in the past but also influenced the world thereafter.”
Francesco Gerla, Co-Managing Partner added: “The future poses many global opportunities but also challenges. Our vision is for our advisers to be global advisers in this rapidly changing world - capable of governing complexity and helping clients thanks to a deep understanding of their businesses, as well as of the political and economic systems in which they operate.”
