The Public Interest Oversight Board has approved the International Federation of Accountants’ (IFAC) appointment of Bob Dohrer, RSM’s Global Leader for Quality and Risk, to serve a three-year term on the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB).
IAASB is an independent standards body supported by IFAC, the global organisation for the accountancy profession, and sets the international standards for auditing, quality control and other assurance, enhancing the quality and uniformity of the practice throughout the world and strengthening public confidence in the global auditing and assurance profession.
Bob Dohrer said: “I am honoured to be appointed to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board. The IAASB plays a vital role in enhancing trust and transparency in the global accounting environment and I look forward to contributing to its work.”

Since 2010, Bob has been Chair of the Forum of Firms, and is currently working with the forum to transition to his new role.
