RSM adds member firm in Cyprus
New RSM member firm specialises in audit international tax and transaction support services
RSM, the sixth largest global network of audit, tax and consulting firms, has admitted a new firm in Cyprus. RTBS Ltd comprises three partners and more than 40 staff across the island’s primary business centres of Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos, and will rebrand as RSM Cyprus. The firm is the first to be admitted under RSM’s European Regional Leader, Gregor Schmidt, who joined RSM International in July 2018.
Cyprus is a popular financial entry point for Asian and African businesses looking to invest in Europe. Placed at the crossroads of three continents, RSM Cyprus adds a key global hub to RSM’s presence in Europe, with almost half of the Cypriot firm’s client base being internationally-focused.
Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM International commented: “Cyprus is a crucial economic and physical link between Europe and the global economy. With a new firm in Cyprus we are better placed than ever to help our clients confidently seize new opportunities.”
“I am delighted to welcome the partners and staff from RSM Cyprus to the network and I look forward to working together as we support both Cypriot businesses and those clients looking to expand into the island.”
George Themistocleous of RTBS Ltd commented: “Joining the RSM network is a testament to the growth we’ve achieved as a firm and as a country. Investors are turning to Cyprus once more and we are well positioned to help clients as they ride the current wave of economic growth.”
“RSM’s brand and culture is a perfect fit for us. Through accessing and contributing to RSM’s international insight and expertise, we look forward to growing our presence in Cyprus and cementing our place as a top 10 firm in the market.”
