RSM International Strengthens Governance and Appoints New Chairperson

RSM, the leading global provider of assurance, tax and consulting services to middle market businesses, today announced a strategic evolution of its governance model following an overwhelming vote of support from member firms across the RSM International network.
The changes strengthen the composition of the RSM International Board, enhancing collaboration across the network, supporting continued investment and helping member firms operate effectively at scale while preserving the entrepreneurial culture and client focus that define RSM.
The newly constructed Board will reflect the strength and diversity of the global network, with representation from Australia, Canada, China, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong SAR, the United Kingdom, the United States, alongside RSM International Chief Executive Officer E.J. Nedder.
As part of these changes, Brian Becker, current CEO of the transatlantic partnership* and Managing Partner of RSM US LLP (“RSM US”), has been named Chairperson of the RSM International Board of Directors, succeeding Joe Adams. Becker’s appointment reflects the network’s continued focus on investing in leadership capabilities that support its global strategy and future growth.

These changes come as RSM continues to expand its global reach and capabilities. Worldwide fee income has increased 30%** over the past three years, reflecting the strength of the network and growing demand from middle market businesses around the world.
*The transatlantic partnership, governed by a Delaware LLP, provides a centralized governance function based on certain authorities delegated by RSM US and RSM UK. This partnership does not serve clients or engage in other business activities. Clients are served and business is conducted by the individual firms—RSM US LLP, RSM Canada LLP, RSM UK Group LLP (which includes the Republic of Ireland) — which are separate legal entities for legal, regulatory and tax purposes.
