Harnessing the power of RSM’s people to drive innovation and transformation in the middle market

LONDON, 29 October 2018 – RSM, the leading global network of audit, tax and consulting firms focused on the middle market, is pleased to hold its 2018 World Conference in Toronto, Canada from 4-8 November 2018. The event will bring together more than 250 RSM leaders from over 70 countries around the world.

"We are excited that one of our newest member firms, RSM Canada, is hosting our 2018 World Conference" said Jean Stephens, Chief Executive Officer, RSM International. “Together at this conference, our global leaders will focus on how we can continue on our strong growth path while at the same time planning for a resilient and bright future for RSM and the middle market leaders we serve. Our annual conference allows us to spend valuable time focusing on our shared global vision and on further strengthening the relationships we have within our network.”

RSM’s 2018 World Conference, themed ‘Tomorrow’s RSM’, will offer insight into how RSM is embracing emerging technologies, new ways of working and alternative client services – with an emphasis on the future of continued success and global growth. It will focus on harnessing the power of RSM’s people to drive innovation and transformation in the middle market in light of headwinds such as global risk, trade wars and tax implications of the digital revolution.

“We launched RSM Canada in December 2017 with a vision to bring Canada’s middle market to the global market,” said Harry Blum, Managing Partner of RSM Canada. “We are thrilled to host our colleagues from around the world in celebration of our one-year anniversary, and on the heels of joining forces with three new firms in Alberta. It demonstrates RSM Canada’s leadership, growth and momentum in a country with an economy dominated by vibrant middle market businesses.”

High-profile guest speakers at the RSM World Conference will include: Chris Hadfield, the first Canadian commander of the International Space Station; Doug Lipp, former head of training at Walt Disney University; Peter Frankopan, international best-selling author; Graeme Codrington, CEO of TomorrowToday Global; Holly Petroff, global consultant at Great Place to Work; Jason Bradbury, TV presenter; and Rita Clifton, international branding expert.

The conference will be chaired by José Gómez-León, partner and management consulting director with RSM Puerto Rico. Gómez-Leó has played an important role in developing RSM through his contributions and leadership as a member of RSM’s Innovation Committee and within the Latin American region.
