Shariq Zaidi

He joined RSM Avais Hyder Liaquat Nauman, Chartered Accountants in 2022 as a senior advisor. 

Shariq guides professionals within the firm both in assurance and non-assurance capacities toward exceeding client expectations.

In audit engagements for large and/or complex clients, he is involved from the planning phase through to completion, assisting teams in resolving intricate issues, adhering to RSM methodology, policies, and professional standards, and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.

For consultancy assignments, he leverages his experience to aid teams in assessing client internal controls and managing financial, operational, and regulatory risks. He provides guidance to mitigate potential threats, conducting thorough financial analysis and assessments to identify areas for improvement or potential risks.

 In cases involving fraud investigations, he leads engagements, investigating allegations of financial frauds or unethical practices, evaluating clients' business processes, identifying internal control weaknesses, inefficiencies, and recommending improvements to enhance operational effectiveness

The diversity of engagements at RSM, spanning assurance, consulting, internal audit, fraud investigation, and risk management, alongside his experience, presents an enriching challenge he finds fulfilment in collaborating with teams on complex issues and encouraging innovative solutions within legal and policy frameworks of RSM.

Beyond RSM, he enjoys providing counselling to friends, family, colleagues, and staff, indulging in watching cricket matches, traveling, and socializing.
