What did you do before coming to RSM Eastern Africa?
Before joining RSM Eastern Africa, I gained experience in various roles that helped shape my professional journey. I began with an internship at a manufacturing company, which gave me hands-on exposure to financial operations in a fast-paced environment.
After that, I worked as an Assistant Accountant for eight months at a rental company, where I handled day-to-day accounting tasks. I then joined a small audit firm where I was primarily involved in bookkeeping services. These roles provided me with a solid foundation in financial record-keeping, accounting, and client service.
Why did you choose to work at RSM Eastern Africa?
RSM Eastern Africa is well-renowned for its exceptional services in both audit and consulting. As an ACCA affiliate member, I saw this as an opportunity to apply the knowledge I’ve gained while further developing my skills.

My first impression of RSM Eastern Africa was very positive. The environment was welcoming and professional, and the team was supportive from the start.

Who is Nassim outside RSM?
I am a proud mother of three wonderful children, and I do my best to carve out quality time to spend with them despite a busy schedule. In addition to family life, I am also passionate about baking. I find great joy in creating cakes and other desserts — it's a creative outlet that brings me both relaxation and satisfaction.
What’s one habit or routine that keeps you grounded?
One habit that keeps me grounded is setting daily goals each morning, which helps me stay focused and organized. I also make time for regular workouts, they keep me energized and clear-minded.
If you could master a new skill instantly, what would it be and why?
If I could master a new skill instantly, it would be public speaking. Being able to communicate ideas confidently and clearly in front of an audience is a powerful skill, especially in the professional world. It enhances leadership and helps build stronger client and team relationships.
