What did you do before coming to RSM Switzerland?

At the beginning of my career, I did a CFC for commercial employees, followed by a professional commercial maturity. I then worked for a year at the commune of Moutier before going on to the Haute Ecole de Gestion de Neuchâtel, where I spent three years and obtained my diploma in Bbusiness Eeconomics.

Afterwards, I worked for a year at the University of Management in Neuchâtel on various research mandates. I left the University of Applied Sciences to work at Academic Work as an account manager but found that I did not like it.

With the knowledge I acquired in finance during my Bachelor's degree, I redirected myself toward the financial field to start a first job as an accountant in a company in the retail field for 2 years.

Since October 2020, I have been continuing my chosen career and experience with RSM Switzerland.

Why did you choose to work at RSM Switzerland?

I wanted to work in a company at the heart of finance. After researching RSM Switzerland, I found many things that attracted me. In particular, the training; and the fact that the company is growing means that my desire to learn from experts in the field, and there is diversity of work offered - all of which allows me to work on different mandates, which is not necessarily possible in smaller or much larger companies.

What is it like working for a global organisation?

It is extremely interesting and varied, with international mandates managed by the global network where we collaborate with other countries. In addition, RSM, as an international organisation,  is more focused on training and the development of its employees and entities. Employees are inspired to excel in order to evolve over time.

What was your first impression of RSM Switzerland?

When I joined RSM Switzerland, I knew that I would have the opportunity to participate in the development of the business in Switzerland and that I would be able to make proposals, especially for my personal development. This has since allowed me to find an agreement to complete my training as a Graduate Expert in Finance and Controlling alongside my work.

What has been your favourite experience at RSM Switzerland?

I really enjoyed working on complex mandates, the possibility to work directly with the Partners and Managers of the company, and the feeling of completing a project, even when things were not initially obvious.

From a more personal point of view, the fact that I have been able to do my training for the last two years (I will finish in April 2023), and that my work has been a very enriching experience for me. Finally, from a more human point of view, I really enjoy working with all my colleagues at RSM Switzerland, and meeting with them to get to know them better during our various company outings throughout the year.

What would you say to anyone who might be considering a career at RSM Switzerland?

Anyone who is ambitious and curious to learn, with the motivation to develop themselves and work in a company offering a wide range of activities should not hesitate to apply.

How do you see your professional future?

“I see myself continuing my development at RSM Switzerland because there are no barriers to career development. Hard work pays off here.“

With a strong will and work ethic, it is possible to be rewarded more quickly than elsewhere. In this way, I project myself on a long-term basis at RSM Switzerland.
