RSM Ireland is delighted to announce the appointment of nine new partners and directors, further strengthening its leadership team to support the continuing growth of the business.
The latest appointments follow a period of strong and sustained growth for RSM Ireland, which recorded a 20% increase in revenue for the financial year to March 2025. The firm recently announced that, together with RSM UK, RSM US and RSM Canada, it will form a new transatlantic partnership effective January 2026 – underpinning future growth opportunities and providing a unique proposition in the Irish market.
These recent additions to RSM’s leadership team highlight the firm’s commitment to delivering premium tax, audit, and consulting services across a wide range of industries. By providing comprehensive and insightful advice, RSM continues to empower clients in the mid-market to navigate their challenges and achieve sustainable growth.
James Burrows, international tax partner, joins from EY and has over 25 years’ experience advising a range of national and multinational clients across the life sciences, technology and retail industries. Prior to joining RSM James led the Irish Tax desk in New York, advising multinational groups on Irish tax matters and the implications of tax reform at an Irish, EU and International level.
Colm Laird, risk and governance partner, joins from KPMG and has almost 20 years’ experience delivering assurance and advisory services across the public and private sectors in Ireland, the UK, and the US, with expertise in the regulated financial services and technology industries.
Vishay Valjee, corporate finance director, joins from EY and has over 15 years’ experience in delivering financial due diligence and transaction advisory services. Vishay’s experience includes supporting corporate and private equity clients execute both buy side and sell side transactions across a broad range of industries, with a particular focus on technology, financial services, manufacturing and consumer products.
Catriona Spaight, talent development director has over 20 years of experience working in professional services in both client facing and talent development roles. Catriona draws on this unique blend of experience from Big Four and mid-size accounting firms when developing strategies and solutions to support the development of leaders and building high performing teams.
Syed Haque, audit director has almost 20 years of experience in senior management roles across professional services, investment management, and fund administration. Most recently, he served as head of closed-ended fund operations in Ireland for a leading global fund administrator.
Gary Mofatt, audit director, joins from Grant Thornton and has over 25 years of experience providing audit and advisory services to large multinational corporations and indigenous SMEs in Ireland and UK.
The promotion of Drishti Rana, Jelyn Tayag and Kate MacSweeney complete the appointments of new audit directors, with the trio bringing significant experience working with a diverse portfolio of multinationals, private equity backed companies and SMEs in Ireland.
