What did you do before coming to RSM?

Before I have joined the RSM team, I had already completed the master's programme "Taxes and Accounting" at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and the exams as a tax consultant. I was already firmly established in my professional life and worked for another tax advisor in Vienna. However, despite a promotion I was no longer satisfied in this company. That was the time when I became interested in RSM.

Why did you choose to work at RSM?

There were several reasons why I finally chose RSM Austria. First of all, I really appreciated the quick and friendly application process. I was surprised that the Managing Partner called me personally and invited me to come by on the very same day. Secondly, I genuinely cherished the fast, well-functioning corporate structures. Moreover, I was positively surprised by the long-standing, friendly partnership between the two Managing Partners, which convinced me of a good working atmosphere at RSM Austria. I am very satisfied with the decision I have made and the most exciting thing about my job is the wide variety of clients I work with.

What was your first impression of RSM?

At RSM Austria I observed that everyone can come as they are. My team colleagues are very diverse in terms of age, family status, cultural background, living situation, educational background and working hours.

“I like the fact that we have open communication, that the focus is on togetherness and that we have an almost family-like atmosphere.”.

I have always been very impressed with RSM's positive and healthy approach to vacations. Since starting my job here, I've found that it's almost always okay to take time off. Breaks are just as much a part of the work process as high-performance phases. I was very surprised that RSM agreed that I would only start the new job after a 2-month break. I used the time well for myself - I traveled and hiked a lot. In general, I like to walk or hike long distances, to explore new areas and to walk on well-trodden paths.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my dear colleagues who always give me professional advice and support. Especially at the beginning of my job I often dependent on them. In addition, our Managing Partner regularly takes the time to ask us if we need any help.

How do you see your professional future?

I envision my future at RSM in the current position. I hope that I can deepen and broaden my professional knowledge gradually. Especially I want to work on being able to react as flexibly and spontaneously to short-term events as our Partners

What would you say to anyone who might be considering a career at RSM?

Short and sweet: Go for it - you will not regret it!
