Brian is a Director with RSM Netherlands International Services. In that capacity, Brian heads up the Global Employer Services specialty practice. Brian has over 20 years of experience and is based from our office in Schiphol-Hoofddorp which seats our International Services Consultants.

Brian focuses on advising expatriates and (large) multi-national companies in Dutch income tax, wage tax and social security consequences of internationally mobile employees. Areas of expertise include international payroll, 30%-ruling, tax treaty application and severance payments. He has extensive experience in supporting companies and organizations from a wide range of industries in setting up operations in the Netherlands from a wage/payroll tax and HR perspective, including dealing with matters such as mobility strategy and policy as well as compensation and benefits and employers’ cost projections.

Brian has a broad portfolio of internationally active clients and an industry focus on clients active in Financial Services, Pharma, Manufacturing and International Trade & Logistics.

Brian is a regular speaker at international conferences and a member of RSM’s Global Steering Committee for mobility matters. Brian is also the author of the book "De 30-%-regeling voor ingekomen werknemers" which deals with the expatriate tax concession (30%-ruling) in Dutch wage tax legislation, making him a leading expert in this area. Brian holds two law degrees – Fiscal and Notarial – from the University of Leiden. Brian is a full member of the International Fiscal Association and the Dutch National Order of Tax Advisors
