RSM, the seventh largest global network of independent audit, tax and advisory firms, has recently announced the addition of a correspondent firm in Zimbabwe, and significant member firm developments in Italy and New Zealand.

RSM is now represented in 27 African countries (including African countries in the MENA region) and welcomes a new correspondent in Zimbabwe - Ralph Bomment, Greenacre & Reynolds, led by Managing Partner Dr. Reynolds Tendai Muza.

In Europe, leading RSM firms in Italy have come together to form RSM Palea Lauri Gerla. This move represents the first step towards the creation of a market-leading practice in Italy and was announced at the "Going International" conference and European Business Awards National Champions event in Turin on 16th January.

In New Zealand, recent changes have resulted in the combination of the respective businesses of RSM Prince and Hayes Knight Audit to form RSM New Zealand. The new firm is the 6th largest audit and assurance practice in Auckland, and significantly increases the existing resources and capacity available to the firm’s clients both in New Zealand and across other countries in the region.

Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM, said: “Africa has been one of our focuses over the last year and we have strengthened our capabilities and client service into seven countries since January 2014. I am delighted to welcome the partners and staff from Ralph Bomment, Greenacre & Reynolds in Zimbabwe into RSM. The changes in Italy and New Zealand are a result of our growing client bases in both countries.”

RSM recently announced an 18% increase in global fee income, year-on-year, to US$4.4 billion, for the financial year ending 31 December 2014.
