RSM International, the seventh largest global network of independent audit, tax and advisory firms, is pleased to announce that Bob Dohrer, the network’s Global Leader for Quality and Risk, has been re-elected for a second 3-year term as Chairman of the Forum of Firms (FoF).
The FoF, of which RSM International is an original full member, was established in 2002 and promotes international standards, including quality control, auditing, ethics and independence and training standards laid down by the International Federation of Accountants’ (IFAC) standard-setting bodies.
Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM International, said: “Being a member of the Forum of Firms is critical as RSM International and our member firms continue to focus on promoting high quality standards of financial reporting and audits worldwide. We have rigorous quality control standards that must be met by member firms, and we are keen to ensure the same level of rigour applies across the entire profession to the benefit of the public interest.”
Dohrer said: "I am honoured to be re-elected to Chair the Forum of Firms for another three years. Given the state of our profession and the importance of high quality audits being recognised by all users of financial information, I am looking forward to working with the IFAC staff and other FoF members in advancing the Forum's objective of promoting consistent and high quality standards of financial reporting and auditing practices worldwide."
