RSM, the seventh largest network of independent audit, tax and consulting firms, comprising over 37,400 staff in 120 countries, has announced that it has strengthened its service proposition in the Asia Pacific region after admitting Reyes Tacandong & Co. (RT&Co.) as its member firm in the Philippines.

RT&Co. is the Philippines’ sixth largest firm that audits the top 1000 corporations in the country (Business World Top 1000 Corporations in the Philippines 2015 Volume 29). The firm has its head office in Makati, the financial centre of the Philippines and now has three strategically located branches; in Cebu and Davao, in the central and southern part of the country, and it just launched a branch in Iloilo, a fast-growing city that serves as the gateway to the Western Visayas region.

RSM’s presence in the Philippines provides close proximity to major Asian capitals and enables strategic air and sea access to over 500 million people in the ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) market. According to the US Census Bureau, the United States is among the Phillipines’ top trading partners, and as such, the location provides good opportunities to generate increased referred work.

In just five years of operations, RT&Co. now has 21 partners and is over 600 in number.  It is recognized in the industry as authorities in due diligence, tax, advisory, and audit services.  With its remarkable performance, it is currently dubbed by the Philippine business community as the “hottest and fastest growing professional services firm.”

Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM International, said: “The admission of this quality firm in the Philippines is in line with our overall global client strategy of developing strong and trusted cross-border, regional and global client services. In this exciting part of the Asia Pacific region, our clients are now enabled further access to new and diverse business opportunities through our representation in this strategically important country.”

Roman Felipe Reyes, Chairman of RT&Co., said: “Since we formed in 2010, we have built a strong client base and had solid revenue growth. Now is the perfect time for us to join one of the world’s leading networks. Our clients and prospects will benefit from the strength and reach of the RSM network, and in turn, we look forward to supporting our new colleagues within RSM who have clients in the country or who are looking for opportunities.”

RSM is the world’s sixth largest provider of tax services, has the fifth largest firm in the US as a member and the third largest in China. RSM was the fastest growing top ten global network in 2014 with 18% growth. On 26 October 2015, RSM member firms globally adopted the brand and trading name ‘RSM’. The unified brand enables RSM to better communicate its strengths and global service capabilities as the adviser of choice to entrepreneurial, growth-focused organisations.
