RSM, the leading provider of professional services to the middle market, today brings together 51,000 colleagues from over 120 countries to celebrate its eleventh annual RSM World Day.

In-line with RSM’s commitment to building sustainable and responsible business practices into everything it does, this year’s event is themed ‘Owning our Future’. The day will focus on the positive impact that RSM has, and seeks to increase, with its clients, colleagues and communities around the world.

As a participant in the UN Global Compact, and building upon a long history of community volunteering, charity work, and well-being initiatives, RSM teams around the world will spend the day building a greater understanding of ESG principles and RSM’s dedication to five of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • Good health and wellbeing
  • Quality education
  • Gender equality
  • Decent work and economic growth
  • Industry, innovation and infrastructure

Through RSM’s global e-learning platform, bespoke training modules, focused on ESG, the UN Global Compact, the UN’s Women Empowerment Principles and the UN’s SDGs, are available to all 51,000 RSM professionals. This is supported by a bank of case studies of on-going community and fundraising work underway on its global intranet, which highlight the many impactful activities RSM Firms have pioneered across the globe.

In addition, many RSM Firms have planned local activities on RSM World Day that bring the UN’s SDGs to life such as charity fundraising events and initiatives that positively impact the environment.

CEO of RSM International, Jean Stephens, commented:

“RSM is dedicated to instilling confidence, acting responsibly and making a difference wherever we have influence. This RSM World Day, under the theme ‘Owning our Future’, we are reinforcing our on-going commitment to giving back, with our 51,000 colleagues creating unified strength behind positive action.

“As a participant of the UN Global Compact, and supporter of both the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and the Women’s Empowerment Principles, we are committed to being an active advocate for inclusivity, equality, transparency, purposeful growth and collective responsibility. As a global organisation, we are committed to creating a powerful, positive and lasting impact in everything we do.”
