RSM Norge enters Rogaland

RSM in Norway strengthens its position as the leader in auditing small and medium-sized businesses when FSS Revisjon AS in Sandnes now becomes part of RSM.

RSM has a clear strategy of being present in key business centers, and with FSS Revisjon on the team RSM now has a significant presence in an exciting region.

"We have watched FSS Revisjon for a long time, and we first contacted them several years ago. In other words, this is carefully considered and we are well prepared for what is happening today," says Hans Ragnar Berg, General Manager in RSM Norge.

RSM has grown steadily the last years, but growth is not a goal in itself.

"Our strategy is to be present in important business centers, and when we can strengthen our business with people who share our ambitions and values, we take the opportunity," Berg says.

FSS Revisjon is a locally based audit company with in-depth knowledge of the local business community in Rogaland. They have 21 employees, of which six Partners. For FSS, it was the right timing and the right partner which became decisive for this decision.

"We in FSS Revisjon (FSS) are proud of our history and where we are today. At the same time, we acknowledge that we must have the ability to further develop to ensure that we also deliver on the top level," says Ivar Sørensen in FSS Revisjon.

Technological development, changing competence requirements and change in framework conditions provide a number of opportunities, but also increases the requirements for auditors in the SME market.

"Therefore, for a long time, we have had thoroughly processes to find out how to best possible serve our customers in the future. When we meet people who share our ambitions and values, we are certain that this is a good decision for our business," says Sørensen.

At year-end, RSM had 170 employees in Oslo, Hordaland and Agder. After the merger, RSM will have 190 employees and an expected turnover of NOK 300 million in 2018.

Today, FSS Revisjon AS changes its name to RSM Rogaland AS, and is being profiled as part of RSM. The plan is that RSM Rogaland AS is merged into RSM Norge AS during the year.
