Chief Culture and Transformation Officer

Biography

Dr Robert Coles joined RSM International on 1 August as the Chief Culture and Transformation Officer. Robert is rejoining RSM to work on the transformational elements of the new global strategy’s long-term plan. To this effect, Robert will be adding his significant expertise to the immense skills within RSM globally to help bring innovative ideas to fruition.

Prior to taking on this role, Robert had worked with RSM both as a consultant when he was Chief Executive of Roffey Park Institute between 2020-2021, and as Regional Leader – Europe from 2010 – 2015.

Robert has a portfolio career spanning theatre, retail, professional services, higher education and OD/ Org Design consulting. Robert is a psychologist by training, with a focus on semiotics and culture. In recent years, Robert completed a PhD researching the use of linguistic mechanisms in executive discussion, conflict and decision making. 

“I enjoy many things including running and reading. But dearest to my heart is an open sky over a mountain ridge. I have been a busy climber over the last few years. If I am not on a mountain, I am in a concert room, swimming in the music.”
