Support in revenue management

The local tax office, as the “financial backbone” of the authority, directly influences expenditure planning and plays a strategic role in enabling the funding of services and the response to community needs. However, this awareness alone is not sufficient to ensure efficient resource management.

Revenue collection is one of the most sensitive activities for local authorities and requires a constant balance between administrative accuracy, process sustainability and the quality of relationships with taxpayers. Rethinking the tax office as an organised and accessible, taxpayer-oriented structure helps improve communication, encourage voluntary compliance and reduce the operational burden on staff.

At RSM, we support local authorities in reviewing tax regulations, managing local taxes, overseeing collection activities and assisting with tax litigation. Our objective is to simplify processes, strengthen collection capacity and support tax offices in achieving a more effective, transparent and community-oriented approach to tax management.
