Matariki is the Māori name for a cluster of stars, & signals the start of the Māori New Year. It is a time to celebrate new life, to remember those who’ve passed and to plan for the future. For Kiwis it also provides an opportunity to reflect, assess and forecast - as we continue to work through the impact of Covid-19.
In the first of a special series, we ask Charles Worth (Chairman & Partner) to share what Matariki means to him.
Part Two: He Tāngata
We continue our special series on Matariki. What makes us different? What did we learn from lockdown? What does the future look like? In part two of our series on Matariki, Partners Lisa Murphy, Wayne Tukiri & Steve Hayes discuss the importance of people. Our people.
He aha te mea nui o te ao?
What is the most important thing in the world?
He tāngata, he tāngata, he tāngata.
It is people, it is people, it is people.
Part Three: The Future
As Matariki celebrations for 2020 draw to a close, we look to the future. What shape will it take? For our clients, our firm - and our team.
Partners Lisa Murphy, Wayne Tukiri and Steve Hayes consider what change will look like, and the opportunities that will come as a result. Lee McLeod reflects on personal growth. Hearing from the future of our industry is a fitting note to round out this special series.
It's been quite a year thus far. We have really enjoyed reflecting on the challenges - both that we have overcome, and that still lay ahead. To our Clients & their Whanau, Happy Matariki. He waka eke noa!
