RSM expands audit expertise with new managing partner

 

Geetesh Raniga joins audit practice from Baker Tilly Staples Rodway.

RSM New Zealand Group has announced a significant milestone in its growth journey with the addition of Geetesh Raniga to the audit practice partnership. 

Raniga will transition to managing partner of the audit team from January 1, 2024.

RSM is the sixth-largest assurance, tax, and consulting network in the world and has firms in 120 countries and 830 offices across the Americas, Europe, MENA, Africa, and Asia Pacific.

Raniga joins the New Zealand arm of the firm during a significant global strategic growth and transformation era.

RSM NZ current audit managing partner Steve Hayes said: “We are delighted to welcome Geetesh to the RSM family. His strong leadership and technical abilities bolster our expanding audit partner team and further our firm's growth.”

Raniga joins RSM after being partner and head of audit and assurance services at Baker Tilly Staples Rodway, where he built a reputation for his involvement in the wider audit community and experience with multinational and NZX clientele.

Raniga said: “I am honoured to lead a team of dedicated professionals in providing quality audit services to the NZ market [and] excited to steer the firm as it goes through a substantial growth phase.”

With offices in Albany, Highbrook, and Newmarket, RSM's legacy spans over seven decades in New Zealand. The RSM partnership in New Zealand is now 21 partners strong and has more than 150 staff in Auckland.
