Audit, tax and consulting specialists RSM New Zealand have joined the family of sponsors to support next month’s MCKAYSON New Zealand Women’s Open.

The event, New Zealand’s richest golf tournament with NZ$1.85 million in prizemoney, will be staged at the new Windross Farm golf course in Auckland from 28 September to 1 October and will be the first time the LPGA Tour has ventured to this country.

RSM, the sixth largest provider of tax services and audit and accounting services worldwide, have today signed on as the presenting sponsor for the Tournament Pro-Am to be played on Wednesday 27 September.

New Shot Put World Champion Tom Walsh has confirmed today that he will play in the MCKAYSON New Zealand Women’s Open Pro-Am alongside a number of other New Zealand celebrities.  

Joining Walsh in the Pro-Am will be New Zealand’s most famous golfing name, Sir Bob Charles; award-winning chef Josh Emett, whose Rata Restaurant in Queenstown earned a “second hat” in the recent New Zealand Restaurant Awards, and cricket legend Brendon McCallum.

RSM have a global involvement in golf, sponsoring major winners Zach Johnson, Paul Lawrie and Davis Love III along with the RSM Classic on the PGA Tour and the RSM Player Performance Study which supports a commitment to the development of the game at all levels in UK.

The MCKAYSON New Zealand Women’s Open is part of the global LPGA Tour which comprises 35 events in 15 countries, with the New Zealand event to be broadcast to more than 150 countries.

Hospitality packages for the MCKAYSON New Zealand Women's Open are available. A limited number of four-day season passes are available at $99 plus booking fee. Single day passes are available at $39 for Thursday and Friday and $49 per day for Saturday and Sunday – both plus booking fee. All children 16 years and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult.
