Irene Guest is a Business Advisory Partner based in RSM New Zealand’s Auckland office. She brings broad experience across all aspects of client accounting and advisory, working with organisations across transport, professional services, not‑for‑profit, manufacturing, and agriculture.

Irene is known for her commitment to high‑quality service and for building trusted, long‑standing relationships with her clients. She takes the time to understand each client’s business and their people, allowing her to provide practical, value‑driven advice that supports both immediate priorities and long‑term goals. For Irene, success is measured by the people she helps grow - her clients, her colleagues, and her wider community. 

EXPERIENCE

Irene began her accounting career as a graduate in 2009 with a provisional Chartered Accountants firm in the Far North, where she developed strong foundations in accounting and tax compliance.

She relocated to Auckland in 2013 and joined RSM New Zealand as an Intermediate Accountant. Irene progressed through the firm’s ranks as a Senior Accountant, Manager, and Principal, before being appointed Partner in 2026.

WORK WITH IRENE

From protecting assets and funding growth to planning an exit strategy, Irene partners with clients to help them achieve sustainable success and long‑term confidence. 

Outside of work, Irene enjoys making the most of Aotearoa’s outdoors, spending time with family and friends, attending music festivals, and heading north to get hands‑on on the family farm. This year Irene has challenged herself to learn how to play golf.
