Geetesh Raniga

Audit Managing Partner, Auckland Central

Geetesh has over 20 years' experience in audit services, management advisory services, prospectus reviews and due diligence reviews. 

Geetesh has expertise in providing audit and corporate transaction services to clients across a broad range of industries. He has gained significant experience providing services to a range of clients including multinationals, companies on the NZ Stock Exchange clients and investment fund entities. 

His industry knowledge spans finance, technology, manufacturing, property development, insurance, retail, wholesale/distribution, healthcare and retirement village industries. .

Geetesh carries out a number of special purpose reviews and internal audit assignments for clients. His management experience includes overseeing the development of audit maintenance and accounting technical standards within global firms.  

He has also been responsible for a number of audits under the mandate of Office of the Auditor General (OAG). These included the audits of Auckland District Health Board and Waitemata District Health Board.
 

Qualifications

Geetesh graduated from the University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Management Studies and a Bachelor of Laws. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Licensed Auditor in NZ and a Registered Company Auditor in Australia.

Geetesh is an audit expert Board member of the Practice Review Advisory Group of CA ANZ since 2011. Geetesh was recognised for his contributions to the audit profession in 2019 with a Fellowship of CA ANZ. 

He also serves on the Institute's Practice Review Advisory Board, providing technical input to the Institute's review of chartered accounting firms in NZ.
