Lyle was raised in rural New Zealand and decided early on that he wanted more than what his small home town could offer him. 

He moved to Auckland to pursue a career in accounting at the Auckland Technical Institute and worked part time as a business advisory accountant for one of the big four accounting firms.  It quickly became apparent to him that to be able to work more closely with his clients and make a difference he had to join a medium sized firm – a realisation that saw him make the move to RSM. 

As a business advisory partner, Lyle has considerable experience in accounting, taxation, succession planning, corporate advisory and business structuring and his diversified client base covers a broad range of industries with a variety of size and types of entities.  Lyle’s approach to his clients is enthusiastic, determined and with the firm belief that every problem has a solution and settling for second best is never an option.  The benefit of this combination is that Lyle can work with people to form relationships that produce exceptional results and exceed their expectations.

Having developed an interest in corporate governance and organisational change early in his career, Lyle is our specialist in those fields.   He helps his clients focus on operational and strategic solutions to take their businesses ahead of the game and avoid any future problems. 

Outside of RSM, Lyle is an active member in the community and a member of the Rotary Club of Auckland.
