Tony Oliver is a Partner in RSM New Zealand's Auckland office with extensive experience in accounting, taxation, business structuring and succession planning.

Throughout his career, Tony has worked closely with business owners, families and high-net-worth individuals, helping them build sustainable businesses, protect wealth and achieve their long-term goals. He is known for his practical advice, strong client relationships and commitment to delivering solutions that create real value.

Tony is particularly passionate about helping clients establish the right structures, processes and succession plans to support future growth and long-term success. 

Experience

Tony began his accounting career with a mid-tier firm before joining one of the Big Four accounting firms in Auckland, where he gained valuable experience working with larger organisations and developing a deep understanding of accounting systems, business processes and client advisory services.

Seeking a more client-focused environment, Tony later joined a smaller firm in Manukau, where he quickly progressed to Partner. Over time, he developed significant expertise in business restructuring, helping clients align their business structures with their long-term objectives while protecting wealth and managing tax obligations.

Tony has worked with businesses across a broad range of industries, including construction, manufacturing, franchising, transport and retail, as well as advising high-net-worth individuals and family-owned businesses.

Outside of work, Tony is actively involved in the community and has previously served as a member of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer of Our Lady Star of the Sea School in Howick.

A passionate sportsman, Tony has represented both Auckland and Counties Manukau at senior level soccer and continues to enjoy an active lifestyle.
