moreAccountant: Compiler of Financial Statements

We are currently looking for a Financial Statement Compiler for our Cape Town/ Johannesburg office. This role falls within the Audit Department and reports to the relevant Director. Below is a guideline of the role and responsibilities, qualifications and requirements.
Roles and responsibilities
The role includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Compilation of high quality Caseware Financial Statements in terms of both IFRS and IFRS for SMEs including full working paper file and preparing budgets for each job.
- Liaison with clients
- Daily recording of time on GreatSoft including monitoring of and compliance with engagement budgets
- Adherence to the firm's Quality and Independence policies
Qualifications and experience
- BCom Accounting Degree is the minimum requirement and a qualification in Certificate in the Theory of Accounting would be beneficial.
- Completed SAICA articles and have a comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.
- MS Office skills: MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
- Proven experience in drafting and preparing financial statements using Caseware Working Papers
- Auditing background would be beneficial.

- Accuracy and paying attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, be efficient and meet deadlines and targets
- Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of CaseWare for the preparation of financial statements using both full IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.
