We are seeking a dynamic CaseWare Compiler for the Cape town office. The ideal candidate should have completed their SAICA articles. Below is a guideline of the role and responsibilities, qualifications, and skills and competencies.
Roles and responsibilities
- Compile financial statements in CaseWare in terms of the applicable accounting framework.
- Prepare compilation file in terms of ISQM1 and the firm’s other quality policies.
- Prepare additional accounting information eg. depreciation calculations, interest calculations, tax calculations etc. where applicable.
- Meet monthly billings targets.
- Meet monthly engagement deadlines.
Qualification and experience
- BCom degree in accounting or equivalent
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in audit/accounting environment
Skills and competencies
The CaseWare compiler must always demonstrate the following minimum competencies:
- Knowledge and skills of CaseWare.
- Understanding of IFRS and IFRS SMEs.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work within budget constraints.
- Someone who works with due care ie. pays attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently on number of projects at the same time.
- Basic understanding of tax act ie. ability to prepare basic tax calculations.
