GRC –Forensic Manager
Published on November 28, 2023We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Forensic Manager in our Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) service line for the Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in forensic, internal audit and risk management. This role involves managing a team and ensuring service excellence. In addition, the role is to conduct timely and constructive discussions with management on fraud ad ethics matters and provide a robust and clear perspective to management.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform, direct, manage and oversee forensic engagement that include fraud risk management advisory services and forensic investigations.
- In collaboration with the Director, develop and execute strategies for the service line to enhance growth, operational efficiency, and client service delivery in compliance with the firm’s policies and protocols.
- Lead business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, contributing to proposals, and expanding engagements with existing clients.
- Build relationships with clients and identify potential additional work opportunities at existing clients.
- Lead a team of consultants and providing technical guidance and oversight on projects related to fraud risk management, forensic investigations, and probity audits.
- Ensure that all forensic engagements are executed in accordance with relevant frameworks, standards, best practices, and the firm’s quality management system.
- Engage with clients to understand their fraud risk management challenges and develop tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
- Monitor the progress of engagements, intervening as necessary to address issues and ensure that deliverables meet client expectations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes and new methodologies within in fraud risk management.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocations effectively.
- Manage client relationships, support the Director in ensuring quality and value adding results are achieved on an engagement.
- Perform general administration responsibilities relating to the GRC service line.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to obtain relevant certifications and pursue professional development opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and professional associations to enhance our market presence.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Internal Auditing, Forensic or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a consulting environment, with a proven track record in forensic and internal audit.
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
- Demonstrated managerial and technical leadership in a consulting setting.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CIA ad CISA or others are strongly preferred.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Demonstrates professional ethics.
- Proficiency in fraud risk management, forensic investigation, and audit.
- Proficiency in Governance, Risk and Control processes
- Advanced data analysis skills in forensic investigations and loss quantifications.
- Experienced in the use of digital forensic tools is preferable.
- Good business acumen and capability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Superior communication with clients and team members.
- Demonstrate superior persuasion and collaboration abilities.
- Demonstrate critical and strategic thinking.
- Demonstrate improvement and innovation and commitment to professional development and staying abreast of industry trends.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management.
