GRC –Senior Consultant

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Consultant in our Governance, Risk and Compliance Consulting (GRC) service line for the Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in Internal audit, governance, risk management and compliance. This role involves managing a team and ensuring service excellence.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform, direct, and oversee internal audit assurance and consulting engagements.
  • Lead a team of consultants and trainees, providing hands on technical guidance and oversight on internal audit engagements.
  • Ensure that all GRC engagements are executed in accordance with relevant frameworks, standards, best practices, and the firm’s quality management system.
  • Monitor the progress of engagements, intervening as necessary to address issues and ensure that deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes and new methodologies within in Internal audit, governance, risk management and compliance.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocations effectively.
  • Act as a link between Manager/the Senior Managers, GRC Directors and the rest of the engagement team.
  • Build relationships with clients and identify potential additional work opportunities at existing clients.
  • Perform general administration responsibilities relating to the GRC service line.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree and Honours in Internal Auditing or equivalent
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
  • At least 5 years of experience in a consulting environment
