Manager: Technology and Digital Consulting

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager in our Technology and Digital Consulting service line for the Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in IT governance, risk management and compliance, and will be responsible for the technical performance and delivery of IT consulting engagements. This role involves managing a team, driving business growth and ensuring service excellence

Role and responsibilities

  • Perform, direct and/or oversee IT and digital consulting engagements in the areas of IT risk assurance, cyber security, data privacy and data analytics, ensuring technical excellence and high-quality delivery.
  • Lead a team of consultants and interns, providing technical guidance and oversight on projects related to IT Risk Assurance, Cyber Security,
  • Data Analytics, Data Privacy, and Digital Forensics.
  • In collaboration with the Director, develop and execute strategies for the service line to enhance growth, operational efficiency, and client service delivery.
    Engage with clients to understand their IT challenges and develop tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
  • Ensure that all consulting engagements are executed in accordance with relevant frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Monitor the progress of engagements, intervening as necessary to address issues and ensure that deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Provide hands-on technical expertise when necessary, including the analysis, design, and implementation of solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements, regulatory changes, and new methodologies in IT consulting.
  • Drive the adoption of new tools, technologies, and methodologies within the team to enhance service delivery.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to obtain relevant certifications and pursue professional development opportunities.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocations effectively.
  • Lead business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, contributing to proposals, and expanding engagements with existing clients.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and professional associations to enhance our market presence.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a consulting environment, with a proven track record in IT Risk, Cyber Security, or Data Privacy.
  • Demonstrated managerial and technical leadership in a consulting setting.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, or others are strongly preferred.
  • Experience in managing and delivering complex IT consulting projects.
  • Strong experience in SOX ITGC reviews.
