ABOUT IBRAHIM

Ibrahim is an Associate in our Johannesburg office.

He started his articles with RSM South Africa in February 2015 while still studying towards his Bachelors of Accounting Sciences in Financial Accounting degree. In October 2018, Ibrahim was offered a secondment to the corporate tax department for the last 4 months of his 4-year training contract. He then permanently joined the corporate tax department in February 2019 as a supervisor in corporate tax, mainly working on corporate income tax compliance for his client listing of around 80 clients.

During his audit articles, Ibrahim has gained experience in the audit of both IFRS and IFRS for SME’s clients, drafting of financial statements and experience in design mode in CaseWare for the drafting of financial statements. In the Corporate tax department, Ibrahim is responsible for the overall tax compliance of the clients assigned to him, this includes but not limited to the completion of the annual income tax return, calculation of the provisional tax, calculation of income tax and deferred tax for the annual financial statements as well as dealing with SARS on numerous occasions to obtain resolution for his client.
