The New Zealand Government has introduced a new requirement where auditors of entities required by legislation to be audited (i.e. they have a statutory audit requirement) now need to be recognised as being qualified to undertake such engagements.

The new rules take effect for accounting periods beginning 1 July 2015. These new rules complement the existing licensing provisions for auditors of larger entities (FMC audits).

RSM Audit partners are qualified auditors under this new requirement.  In addition we have 3 licensed auditors approved to audit all types of FMC reporting entities and are approved auditors for the Auditor-General.

We are specialist auditors and assurance experts able to undertake the full range of audits in New Zealand.
