International travel is at an all-time low and with the pandemic sadly still unravelling in countries such as India, there is no immediate end in sight to the pain felt by many tourism operators who rely on international travel dollars.

The good news is, domestic travel rates are soaring. Australians are keen to explore their own backyard and are ready to spend. The current situation presents both opportunities and threats to businesses operating in the tourism sector. According to ABC News: “Boston Consulting Group (BCG) predicts the long-term impact of the COVID crisis will be more pronounced on business travel than on leisure travel."
