Roles & Responsibilities
Participate in the day-to-day administration of corporate insolvency and restructuring engagements, which include (i) liquidation, (ii) receivership, (ii) judicial management, (iii) scheme of arrangement, (iv) monitoring / special accountant and (v) debt restructuring. Responsibilities include (list not exhaustive):
- Preparing draft letters, notices, emails and reports
- Securing, indexing and safekeeping of books and records.
- Taking control of the property and assets of the business, followed by realisation / debt recovery process
- Information gathering from books / records of clients and third parties
- Adjudicating creditors' claims
- Participating in investigatory work to trace assets and assess potential recoveries for creditors
- Assisting in the financial review and preparation of restructuring proposals
- Liaising with stakeholders, creditors and other business advisors.
- Participating in clients' / creditors' meetings and preparation of minutes of meetings
- Providing timely guidance to junior team members
- Performing any other duties as assigned to support departmental and organization objectives
- Working closely with Managers, Directors and Partners and communicate issue(s) aroused clearly and timely
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Law or other professional accounting qualifications recognised by ISCA
- 0 to 3 years of experience in corporate insolvency, restructuring and/or external audit
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights and construct solutions
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
- A strong team player
