Chio Kian Huat began his career with Arthur Young & Company (predecessor firm of Ernst & Young) in 1980 upon his graduation where he undertook audit assignments in various sectors including services, manufacturing, construction, oil and gas, in countries like Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia.

In 1983, he joined a local construction group as Finance & Administration Manager, overseeing finance, administration, personnel, general affairs and EDP. He was instrumental in the computerisation of the organisation’s Management Information System and the creation of a set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

He also represented the group in joint ventures with foreign contractors including those involved in the MRTC projects, arranged financing for turnkey design-and-build projects, and managed the finances of the group's development projects.

Kian Huat founded the firm in 1985. He specialises in business planning, project financing, corporate finance, financial & operational reviews, business turnaround and corporate rescue, as well as mergers and acquisitions advisory.

Since establishing his practice, he has undertaken numerous consultancy projects across the region. He has helped several companies in restructuring efforts, securing venture capital funding and additional credit facilities from financial institutions. He has also played a key role in the successful listing of several companies on the Singapore Exchange.

In recognition of his leadership and contributions to the profession, Kian Huat has been recognised as a Notable Alumni by Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He was also awarded the RSM Excellence Award (CEO Award) at the RSM World Leadership Conference 2026, acknowledging his exceptional leadership and contributions to the global RSM network.
