Our chat with Paul Cochrane, Chief Executive Officer  - Storyhouse Early Learning

Paul Cochrane is the Chief Executive Officer of Storyhouse Early Learning, and leads a team of over 1000 staff across 35 centres on the East Coast of Australia.

In their Coffee Conversation chat, Paul shares with Steve his professional experience over the years, and his journey that lead him to become the CEO of Storyhouse Early Learning three years ago. Whilst the business is relatively young, it has been successful in growing at a rapid pace and establishing a strong identity in the childcare and early education market.

Faced with significant disruption with little notice due to Australian Government announcements around the provision of free child care over the COVID-19 lockdown period, Paul shares how his Executive Team continued to work with their external trusted advisers to manage the situation as it evolved. Surrounded by naturally nurturing Centre Managers and educators, Paul and his team adapted their communication and rostering techniques with the sole purpose to preserve jobs and provide safe services across their network of centres.
