Our chat with Narendran Sinnathamby - Director of Marketing and Communications of Springfield City Group.

The latest segment of our Coffee Conversation series takes place outside of Brisbane, in Springfield City. Here, Steve is joined by Springfield City Group’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Mr. Narendran Sinnathamby.

Known as one of the fastest-growing developments in the country by a private company, Springfield’s story is a fascinating one. Founded in 1992, the development spans across 7 thousand acres, and has gone from having 1 school, to today being a community for 43,000 residents and providing access to 11 schools, 17 childcare centres, a university, and shopping centre – and a new 10,000 seat stadium for the AFLW and training grounds for the Brisbane Lions currently under construction. With 3 families moving into the community each day, and an average of 10 million dollars being spent on the project each week, there is no slow-down insight, but rather, a focus to grow the community to 143,000 residents through the next phases of the project.

Narendran candidly shares with Steve his story, and the journey he’s been on with Springfield City Group to date. His father, Maha Sinnathamby AM (co-founder of Springfield City Group and inductee into the Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame in 1999) played an influential role in not only business, but also personal aspects of Narendran’s life-giving him an opportunity to learn from his experiences and create a better work/life balance.

“Words, prompted by authenticity, can change the world.”

The insights from Narendran don’t stop there, so tune in and watch the video to find out more.

Coffee Conversations is a series of short videos, hosted by Steve Healey – Partner, RSM Australia, and involve an informal coffee chat to gain a better understanding of who Steve’s guest is, and more about their background (both personally and professionally). The series is aimed at providing an insight into some of the challenges and opportunities encountered in business, the approach taken, and the ‘silver lining’ identified along the way.
