Professional services firm RSM Australia is pleased to announce a new reseller agreement with Menlo Security, a leader in cloud security.

The two companies have signed a partnership agreement in which Menlo Security will provide turnkey cyber security solutions delivered as managed business services through RSM.

The provision of improved cyber security services will enable regional communities and business to safely compete in new and growing global markets.

The agreement enables RSM to expand their cyber security services and solutions with multiple different package tiers that include 24x7 technical support to small-to-medium businesses (SMB) throughout Australia.

“Australian businesses are facing increased cyber attacks,” said Ashwin Pal, Director of RSM Australia’s Risk Advisory division who specialises in cyber security and data privacy.RSM & Menlo

Prior to joining RSM, Ashwin built and controlled a security business for a large global systems integrator across the Asia Pacific region. “We are seeing major breaches and incidents nearly every week impacting organisations of all sizes.”

Cyber security services can often be out of reach for small and medium business organisations. In response to this, RSM offers its SMB Cyber Security Package to help small and medium businesses navigate the current cyber security minefield. The agreement with Menlo Security also offers  advantages to SMBs in rural and regional Australia, where RSM has a significant footprint.

In the post Covid “new normal,” where everyone works from anywhere or functions as a digital nomad, digital transformation needs security transformation,” said Riaan Bronkhorst, Principal specialising in cyber security and privacy at RSM. “It is no longer sufficient to secure the work premises; you need to secure everyone that works off a decentralised cloud infrastructure accessing sensitive data that is the lifeblood of your business.

The announcement comes after multiple high-profile data breach and ransomware attacks that have impacted millions of Australians and has already inspired new regulations for data privacy and security measures.

This partnership agreement will allow more Australian businesses to implement a cost-effective *zero-trust security solution to mitigate cyber risks, particularly against ransomware,” said Chris Georgellis from Menlo Security.

In addition to the barrage of attacks and threats facing companies and organizations worldwide, Menlo Security has identified a surge in cyberthreats termed Highly Evasive Adaptive Threats (HEAT) that bypass traditional security defenses.

HEAT attacks are a very common class of cyber threats targeting the web browser as a highly vulnerable web attack vector used for 75% of the working day.  HEAT attacks employ techniques to evade detection by multiple layers in the current security stack including firewalls, Secure Web Gateways, sandboxing, URL Reputation, and phishing detection.
