Toh Boon Ho

Boon Ho has extensive experience in international trade policy and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) advisory, helping companies optimise their international trade strategies and maximise FTA benefits.

A Tariffs and Rules of Origin specialist, he directly participated in the negotiation of eight of Singapore’s FTAs and contributed to the World Trade Organisation’s (WTO) Harmonisation Work Programme on non-preferential Rules of Origin. In addition to his role in trade negotiations, he advised Singapore’s trade negotiators on key industry requests and policy issues relating to tariffs and rules of origin. 

He has also advised and supported SMEs in developing internationalisation capabilities across sectors including food and beverage manufacturing, print and publishing. His experience further includes attracting global trading companies to Singapore and promoting exports in support of Singapore’s position as a global trade hub.

Prior to joining the Firm, Boon Ho spent nearly 27 years with the Singapore Government in the defence field and the bulk of his public sector career in the enterprise and trade development agency, where he spent 5 years heading the Tokyo and Los Angeles offices.
