The latest guest to join our Coffee conversation series is the CEO of Flight Centre Travel Group, Mr Graham 'Skroo' Turner.

Filmed on location at Flight Centre HQ in Brisbane, Steve Healey speaks with Graham (affectionately known as ‘Skroo’) about his journey in the travel industry to date.

Growing up in Queensland near Stanthorpe, Graham originally studied Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland, before moving to London and setting up Top Deck Travel. Graham returned back to Australia in 1981, before launching Flight Centre Travel Group in 1983. Over the following decades, the Flight Centre Travel Group leisure and corporate travel brands have grown to have a presence across 23 countries, employing nearly 21,000 people and generating $24 billion in sales.

The tourism and travel industry was hard hit by COVID-19 and resulted in Flight Centre losing two-thirds of their people and approximately 90% of their revenue. Graham goes on to discuss with Steve their action plan to combat the challenge to date, and where the focus lies for the company at present.
