The Recycling Modernisation Fund offers to improve recycling outcomes and fill gaps, particularly in response to the Council of Australian Government waste export bans.
To improve recycling outcomes and fill gaps, particularly in response to the Council of Australian Government waste export bans. Supported materials include:
- Mixed plastics requiring further sorting or cleaning
- Single resin plastics not yet reprocessed (eg. PET bottles)
- Source-separated paper and cardboard
- Unprocessed glass (both formed packaging and flat sheet glass from solar panels)
- Whole used tyres (excluding certain types exported for re-treading).
Grants of up to $2 million are available, covering up to 50% of project costs.
Applicants must be:
- South Australian businesses
- Other non-government organisations
- Local Governments
Applications close 25 July 2025.
